As a National Civic Movement, in conjunction with the Faith and Freedom Institute, we held a round table with businesswoman and international speaker Sandra Bronzina, creating a space for dialogue focused on the role of civil society and, especially, young people in defending the values that sustain a free society.
Sandra Bronzina, a Latin American businesswoman born in Brazil, shared her personal and professional experience, highlighting how from an early age she began her journey in the business world, building a career marked by perseverance, individual responsibility, and the pursuit of personal and economic freedom. Her life story is an example of how effort, discipline, and clarity of principles can become tools for transforming both one's own life and the social environment.
During the conversation, emphasis was placed on the importance of young people taking an active role in public life and understanding that the country's future depends on citizens capable of forming themselves, participating, and becoming decision-makers. In this regard, the need to promote a civic culture that fosters critical thinking and the defense of ideas that strengthen institutions was highlighted, moving away from ideological currents that weaken the fundamental values of freedom and the rule of law.
Youth defending ideas: leadership for the future of Guatemala
Likewise, the role of women in today's society was addressed, emphasizing the importance of recognizing the dignity and value of femininity from a perspective that promotes the integral development of the person, without adopting ideological stances that distort their essence. The guest stressed that female leadership can be exercised from authenticity, responsibility, and the conviction that freedom also implies commitment to the common good.
Members of the MCN actively participated in the round table, having the opportunity to dialogue directly with Sandra Bronzina and reflect on the relevance of fighting the cultural battle from different spheres of influence. The main message was clear: young people are the impulse and the future of Guatemala, and their preparation is fundamental to building a society based on freedom, values, and responsibility.
These types of encounters reinforce our commitment as MCN to training leaders capable of positively influencing the country and promoting active citizenship that understands that ideas have consequences.
