On this occasion, Maná de Vida, an educational institution located in Escuintla, joined as an ally for freedom and republican principles. As a National Civic Movement, we conducted workshops for more than 500 students, from four years old up to high school level, with the aim of helping them understand the importance of civic participation, as well as their rights and obligations within a Republic. We gave specialized workshops to different groups according to their ages, adapting the content and dynamics so that each level could adequately understand the topics.
With the youngest students, we worked on basic concepts of citizenship and coexistence, while with older groups we delved into issues such as republicanism and the lines of defense of the State, highlighting the role of the individual, freedom, and active participation.
Likewise, with high school students, we promoted our Civika platform, presenting it as a civic education tool that allows them to strengthen their knowledge of participation, institutionality, and republican principles. This alliance represents an important step, as Maná de Vida has formally incorporated the Civika platform as part of its Social Sciences course program. In this way, civic education becomes a stable part of the institution's educational process. We believe that Civika will provide a significant complement and added value to the academic content, helping students develop a deeper understanding of their role as citizens and the importance of actively engaging in public life.
This experience highlights the conviction that the transmission of republican ideas and values must be fostered from an early age. We firmly believe that civic education contributes to the development of a culture of respect for the rule of law and freedom. Seeing the interest and ability of students to understand these principles reaffirms the importance of creating educational spaces where critical thinking and civic commitment are promoted. And once again, as MCN, we are increasingly the benchmark for more institutions on civic education and defending the Republic.
