On Wednesday, January 28, we officially launched the "Citizen Charter for Transparency and Institutionality 2026", with the aim of creating a space for reflection and citizen participation regarding the institutional processes that will take place in the country this year.
2026 is not just another year. It is a turning point for the Republic.
In alliance with CACIF Joven and Universidad Mesoamericana, we participated with them in Quetzaltenango in the Guatemala Next event: Quetzaltenango celebrates independence... generating the future!, a space where more than 60 citizens, young entrepreneurs, and guild leaders shared ideas about civics, institutionality, youth leadership, and entrepreneurship.
Isn't it obvious that certain principles should be unquestionable in a Republic?
In our region, officials often celebrate a "firm hand" and popularity polls seem to dictate policy, but we decided to pause and do what is expected of republican citizens: question. Last Wednesday, September 3rd, we hosted a new Civic Chronicles meeting at our headquarters, a space we have built to dialogue, question, and defend the republican values that guide our actions.
On August 21, we had a very special day at the National Civic Movement, opening our doors to the public for an activity we called Open House.
